A non-governmental organisation, The Feed the Vulnerable Families In Nigeria (FTVF), have lined up charity programmes to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a three-day events aimed at raising awareness about chronic health challenges.
The initiative, focusing on chronic kidney diseases, oral cancer, neonatal disorders, stroke, and lower respiratory infections, will begin on 17 August at GSS, Maraba Ilorin in Kwara state.
Additionally, the anniversary event will follow on 18 August 2024.
The programme, according to the organisers, will educate the public on these health issues, promote early detection and prevention, and raise funds to support affected individuals and research initiatives.
This annual celebration is significant for the foundation, drawing volunteers from near and far to reflect on past achievements and enjoy engaging activities.
The event will feature a walk, along with health screenings, information sessions, awareness campaigns, fundraising efforts, and speeches and testimonials from healthcare professionals.
The foundation believes that promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging proactive health measures can contribute to a safer society.
