Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola, a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress and Former Governorship Aspirant in Kwara State has received commendations as he was decorated and honoured with HE- for -SHE Men of Impact award by VIP Magazine in the Federal Capital, Abuja.
At a glamorous ceremony which took place on Tuesday 7th December 2021 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, witnessed by notable men and women who had contributed to the welfarism of women and impacted the lives of humanity as a whole from across the strata of the country.
The Award ceremony tagged “He- for- She Men of Impact Award” was at the behest of a renowned Newspaper, VIP Magazine in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.
According to the Publisher of the VIP MAGAZINE, Mr. Talabi T.O Michael, He noted that the initiative was designed in honour and recognition of great men who have in their way selflessly contributed to women’s development and lessen the hardship in the lives of women. He added that the honour was in two categories which include- VIP 100+1 Women of Impact Award and HE-for SHE Men of Impact Award.
While VIP 100+1 Women of Impact Award was bestowed upon the women folks, HE- for -SHE Men of Impact Award was in honour of the men who were carefully selected among their folks.
Amongst the award recipients alongside Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola was First Lady of Nigeria, Hajiya Aisha Muhammadu Buhari; Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen; United Nation Women- Country Rep., Comfort Lamptey; First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Adeleye Fayemi; Governor and First Lady of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu and Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu; among others.
While decorating and presenting the Award to Engr. Babalola, the Publisher of the VIP Magazine enjoined him to heighten his efforts in assisting women folks. He stressed that service to humanity which he is fondly known for will forever endear more accomplishment to his sojourn in life. He, meanwhile, prayed that posterity will be kind to him.

In her remarks, the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Her Excellency, Dame Pauline Tallen who was the Chief Host of the occasion encouraged Engr. Babalola to not relent in supporting the women folks, the youths, the old, and humanity at large. She stressed that the reward for good is good.
Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola was ably represented by his loyalists led by Comrade John Olawale Adegboye and Comrade Ahmed Kola Akorede who received the award on his behalf.
Recall the Kwara-born Marine Engineer turned Philanthropist and Politician, Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola, aside from his dedication and commitment towards human development channeled through his foundation “Bayo and Bunmi Babalola Foundation” which he jointly founded alongside his darling wife over a decade.
Engr. Babalola has been contributing his quota towards improving the welfare of the women folks since time immemorial. He has to his credit put smiles on the faces of great numbers of widows through his foundation monthly stipends scheme.
He, however, has promised that as long as he is alive and has the capacity, he will continue to contribute his quota towards human and community development.
