Chelsea has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix on loan.
The 23 years old striker joined Atletico Madrid in 2019 from Benfica but has not performed consistently as expected.
It was reported that Chelsea will pay around £9m to sign him on loan till June 2023 and will also cover his wages of £5.3m.
Felix started for Atletico on Sunday against Barcelona and they were beaten 1-0 at the Metropolitano stadium.
He has fallen out of forward with Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simone and he’s now looking to move out of the Spanish capital
Chelsea is keen to bolster their attack with Joao Felix. Although, the team has been running on bad form as they were hammered 4-0 on Sunday in the FA cup clash against the giant Machester City.
The blues currently sit in 10th position on the rankings table in the premier league.
Chelsea has invested greatly in signings with the likes of David Datro Fofana from molde, and Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.
The blues recently signed Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama earlier in the month and they look to add fresh players to the injury-hit team.
