…aide announces burial rites
A fore-most traditional ruler, HRM Oba Salaudeen Fagbemi Adeyeye has been announced dead in the early hours on Monday.
THE ELITES WATCH reports that this development have thrown the entire Ijagbo town into a sober mood as subjects keeps mourning the departure of the revered monarch.
According to a statement by a close yet-to-be identified aide of the departed monarch via a micro-blog WhatsApp platfrom, “ Innalillahi wahina Ilehi rajiun. This is to announce the demise of Onijagbo of Ijagbo land Oba Alhaji Salaudeen Olagunju Adeyeye Fagbemi Obebe II who died peacefully today December 5, 2022.”
It was gathered that the deceased Onijagbo of Ijagbo kingdom, Oba Saludeen Fagbemi Adeyeye who passed onto the great beyond, is one of the frontline traditional monarch from the Yoruba extraction traced to Ile-Ife in Osun state.
The kingdom, located in Oyun Local Government of Kwara State, was said to be founded by one of the descendants of Ojaja I.
In the History of Ijagbo Kingdom, Oba Salaudeen Fagbemi Adeyeye reigns from 12th August, 1979 to December 5th, 2022, and was the first Monarch to have attain the second class status until his departure.
Meanwhile, the burial rites has been slated to hold by 4 pm today.
“The burial rites will comes up by 4 pm. We pray Allah to forgive Baba Oba and reward him with Aljanah Fridaus,” the WhatsApp statement made by the yet-to-be-identified aide of the deceased monarch reads.
