…urge Gov. AbdulRazaq to speak up, collaborate with Niger Gov on alleged food blockage from North
The 8th Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker and Professor of Constitutional Law, Rt. Hon. Prof. Ali Ahmad on Saturday saluted the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to improve healthcare service delivery across the country, describing the inclusion of the world-class Harmony Advanced Diagnostic Centre as laudable and timely.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after a meeting of Conference of Nigerian States ex-speakers in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, Ali said the numerous legacy projects of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which included the Radiology and Clinical Pathology Center deserve every well-meaning government whether Federal or State attentions due to its basic needs assessment.
He said, “Regardless of the party leaning, I shared in the joy of health-needy Kwarans who have just received cheering news from Mr President over his announcement of an immediate upgrade of healthcare delivery facilities across the nation.
“I am particularly excited that the legacy projects of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which included the Radiology and Clinical Pathology Center are receiving timely and laudable attention. We thank Mr President for granting Kwara’s Harmony Advanced Diagnostic Centre as one of the benefiting healthcare facilities that have been neglected by the incumbent APC-led government in Kwara in terms of infrastructure and working equipment needed for the state-owned facility to work optimally.”
Speaking on the state of the nation, the former lawmaker said he shared in the pains of Nigerians over the high cost of food items, the dollar and naira switch, and the economic hardships.
He, meanwhile, described the reports of alleged food blockage from North to South as worrisome amid the rising economic crisis in the country, calling the attention of Kwara State AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to speak up and collaborate with his Governor colleague in Niger State not to cut off Kwara State being part of the North.
