Ishola Olateju Foundation in collaboration with Oju Ilu Political Movement on Friday hosted job and empowerment beneficiaries in their large numbers in Kwara State.
Speaking at the get-together which was held at AMI Event Center along Ajase-Ipo road, Ganmo, the founder and the Ex-Federal House of Representatives Aspirant, Comrade Ishola Olateju Olohungbebe, charged the job beneficiaries to be up and doing in their respective places of assignment.
The job beneficiaries who cut across different para-military agencies under the Ministry of Interior were all present at the event.
Olateju said, “I am fulfilled seeing all the beneficiaries today. It has always been at the apex of my heart to change the narrative of my darling Kwara State, especially in Kwara South Senatorial District. I made a vow around 2009 and I am happy today to have achieved it thus far.
“I don’t join politics to enrich myself. I join politics to influence my community and the state at large. When I did my first empowerment, I used my first salary to buy equipment for the beneficiaries of my empowerment program.
“I am happy to have provided jobs for many people through my boss, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. I am hosting all the beneficiaries to keep track of their progress, especially those who benefited from the empowerment program. I want to know the area we can interfere with to help the beneficiaries grow bigger in their respective areas. I want to know among them who need extra funding and those who need additional equipment.”
He warned the empowerment beneficiaries not in any circumstances to sell the pieces of equipment given to them, urging them to always reach out to the foundation in case they encounter any challenge.
The Personal Assistant to the Minister of Interior pledged to empower another set of 100 people in Ifelodun Local Government on skill acquisition and 50 persons in farming.
“I will be giving out 100 forms to youths in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state to train them in skill acquisition and after six months of consistent training, I would provide working tools to the beneficiaries.
“I want to also empower 50 persons on farming. I will help to facilitate loans they will use to cultivate the land and plant crops. By December or next year January, We would be having another get-together to track the progress of the new beneficiaries”, Olateju stated.
Many job beneficiaries, from Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Correctional Service gave testimonies of how they got the job without paying a dime.
They thanked the founder of Ishola Olateju Foundation for the job opportunities and prayed Almighty God continue to bless him.
In her remark, the former Commissioner, Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Hajia Nimota Alabi advised the beneficiaries to emulate Olateju by helping those behind them to grow.
