…. Appreciates organizers, traditional rulers in Igbomina land
… Promises to do more of developmental stride at the grassroots
A young businessman, Politician, Hon. Kareem S. Idowu Olomoh popularly called KSI, has received Igbomina Icon Award at the maiden Ewa Igbomina Cultural Fiesta 2022.
He bagged the award on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in recognition of his remarkable performance in grassroot development, philanthropic activities in Igbomina land.
Recall that he recently distributed writing materials to indigent students across Secondary schools in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
It was gathered that Olomoh dolled out writing materials for both primary school pupils and secondary students in Ifelodun.
According to reports, he presented the writing materials to students of Agbeku Secondary Commercial Secondary school; Agunjin Secondary school; Olayinka Grammar school; Ecwa primary school Agbeku; LGEA community school Agunjin; Ajelete primary school; Ekudaji primary school; Ajoko primary school, Olayinka primary school; Oree primary school; Primary school Aiyekale; Patako primary school; and Arifowomon primary school respectively.
The Award was presented to the young businessman by His Royal Highness, Oba AbdulRasak Abodunrin Oyedeola Olowu of Igbowu land.
The Royal Highness described him as a young and aspiring person who derives pleasure in helping the young ones and seeing Igbomina land and its people developing.
He added that the traditional rulers and entire people greatly appreciate his efforts that’s why they deemed it worthy to give him the award.
The Royal father stated that they would not relent in exhibiting the great culture and tradition, stressing that they will continue to preserve the heritage of Igbomina land.
He said, “We must focus on educating ourselves on our culture and heritage so as not to lose our identity. God’s willing very soon we’ll have a Center for Igbomina, Ibolo and Ekiti culture and heritage studies to preserve our culture in Kwara South.”
The traditional ruler called on the teeming Igbomina people to allow love and unity reign in the region, saying that is the only way to foster growth and development in our land.
Olomoh, however, thanked the organizers of the program and traditional rulers in Igbomina land for considering him worthy of the award, assuring them that he will not give up on helping the youths at the grassroots.
The event witnessed a leading train of traditional rulers which include; Royal fathers, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Yahaya Ismail Alebiosu who was accompanied by His Royal Highness, Oludopo of Oke iya Oba Saheed Giwa Opadoye, the Olojoku of Ojoku land, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRazaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiolaseni III , The Oloba of Eju land, Sanmora, Oba Maroof Afolayan.
Others who were illustrious sons and daughters of Igbomina land present at the event include; Prof. Emmanuel Ibiloye – Guest Lecturer, Alh. Adeniyi Abdulfatai Dan Kazeem, Hon. Ishola Olateju Olohungbebe- Awardee, Alh. Yinka Quadri – Awardee, Mr. Muka Ray-Eyiwumi – Awardee, Alh. Adeoti Kazeem ADEKAZ(Awardee) and his wife Mercy Aigbe.
