A former President of the National Association of Kwara State Students, NAKSS, Adisa Jaji Azeez has promised to take his political campaign through the phases of 3Ms if elected as the flag bearer for the Kwara State House of Assembly seat in the 2023 elections.
Jaji, who made this remark while declaring his political ambition at the PDP ward meeting held on Saturday at the PDP Alanamu ward secretariat in Ilorin vows to entrenched his campaign towards the phases of Masses, Matters, and Manners.
THE ELITES WATCH reports that Adisa Jaji will be contesting alongside other contenders for the Ilorin-North West Constituency seat at the Kwara State House of Assembly under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the forthcoming primaries leading to the general elections in the state.
The Former Students Leader stressed that politics should be nothing than to benefit the society and the people that live in it
He said, “Without any contradiction to the founding principles of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, it is my emphasis that my campaign and actions will toe the phases of Masses, Matters and Manners. I will be able to attend to the yearnings of the people of my constituency on their desirable Matters (be it legislative which is my core function or outside it) in such Manners that will further promote my constituency and the Peoples’ Democratic Party. I will present my humble self in such manners that will also reinforce the belief of the Masses in the ideology of our party and leadership.
“Politics is and should be nothing other than benefitting the society and the people that live in it. It is a systematic approach that will, if organized well, aid and speed the development and growth of our individual society – most especially the people and environment of Ilorin North-West constituency of Alanamu Ward, Ilorin-West Kwara State.
“All my time in the field of academic and student struggle, I have kept with me the updates that contribute to the failure of the existing system in Ilorin North-west area of Alanamu. It has occurred to me through this knowledge that for a system to thrive politically, the approaches that must be brought to bear have to share the same features of Democratic values which hover around Qualitative Representation, Effective Leadership and Followers prowess and Love for Humanity.
“In the history of our participation in politics/democracy, it is obvious that the people of Alanamu ward had not experienced political representation this worse before. A representation where no bill was sponsored from our own, a representative, where there is no record of legislative relevance, a representation of Yes Yes to the executive as against the nature of authority and independence of the Kwara State House of Assembly. Indeed we never in the past had it this worse.
“In the functions of political arms, the functions and authority of the legislative arm/body hover around making laws that are people and societal friendly, making laws that will enhance ease of trading and thriving, laws that recognizes the unity of the people of kwara state, laws that will enable the people of Ilorin North-west Alanamu constituency be recognized amongst its peers as significant and vice versa, not limited to these are the major concerns of the legislative arm of the kwara state authority.
“We have seen our counterparts from different zones/wards in the KWHA delivered representation of choices. We have seen the defiance to the rule of law that brought us together, we have seen clear challenges and day to day killing of our cultural and political values from the present assembly. These are evident in the approaches of the current KWHA to democracy and legislative proceedings.
“Being the agent of change we are from our ward, representing the people who believes so much in our qualities and fitness, will you not agree with me that it is the time that we enmeshed our name again in the history of time as the one who changes the hand of time? This time not backward but to the utopia/future we so much desire.
“Like The Ark that delivered Prophet Nuhu (Noah) to his settlement, The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), will be my drive, it will remain my wing with which I will deliver the promises of democracy attached to the position I’m contesting for.
“It is not a mistake that I have chosen the PDP as my party. It is the connection between the Party’s attributes and Democracy. The PDP Alanamu ward shared values with the National PDP which shared the core values of our amiable principal, His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki. The mischief narratives of the opposition or people of interest will not refute my respect for political participation, independence and vindication. It will not also cover my impacts in the constituency, Kwara and nation’s building.
He added, ”I am Azeez Adisa-Jaji with vast and tested experience in leadership and followership. I am a notable member of Kokoro Kan Zone of Alanamu Ward of Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State and I am a well known Kwaran reputed for advocating for social justice and democratic equity.
“I have in the previous years in my previous positions which cut across heading the most revered indigenous student body of kwara state (Nakss National Headquarters) coordinated myself in the understanding of the society, the Will of the people and the influence of societal laws with respect to human interactions. Although not limited to that position alone, I can assure that I will positively effect the good changes, bring upon transparency and showcase the true love of humanity and society to my constituency with the consciousness of my garnered experience.
”In the light of the above, I humbly express my declaration to contest as a member representing Ilorin North West Constituency of Kwara State House of Assembly in the year 2023 General Election under the PEOPLES’ DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) with direct guidance and supports from The PDP members and executives in Alanamu ward. This is drawn from my unending love for my constituency and the members and leadership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party.
