…lauds Rilwan-Cook for support
The Arewa Decides 2023 Project in Kwara has sensitized voters across the twenty-three wards political wards in Ilorin South and East Federal constituency ahead of the Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
The group with the support of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart, Rilwan-Cook from Ibagun ward in Ilorin East-South federal constituency organized the sensitization exercise to educate voters on how to handle the ballot papers and in turn vote for the PDP candidates at the polls.
Speaking with journalists after the sensitization exercise on Thursday, the Chairman of the group, Mohammed AbdulQodri enjoined the people to remain calm and peaceful throughout the electioneering process.
AbdulQodri charged the voters to remain committed to their wishes, urging them to ensure that no amount of inducement stop them from making their informed choices.
He said, “We are organizing this sensitization exercise in order to educate voters on how to handle the ballot papers and how to ensure that their votes are valid. So far, we have recorded successes in this regard and I can assure you that the voters across Ilorin East-South Federal Constituency are well-informed and prepared for the election exercise.
“One of our party leaders and distinguished brother, Hon. Rilwan-Cook from Ilorin East supported us in the production of the specimen we used to educate the voters.
“We hereby urge the voters to remain committed to their wishes. We told them not to allow any form of financial inducement to affect them in making their choices.”
One of the voters who attended the sensitization exercise applauded the organizers, expressing optimism that with the help of the knowledge they have gathered, they are ready to vote in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
