Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara state, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has insisted that the people of the northern axis remain indebted to the PDP for the chance provided to fly the party’s flag.
He added that the yearnings of the good people of Baruten, Kaiama, Edu, Patigi and Moro Local Government Areas of the state have been fulfilled with the candidature of one of their sons.
Yaman disclosed this while addressing party faithful at the Inauguration of the ‘PDP Unified Campaign Council’ for the 2023 general elections in the state.

At the glamorous event which held on Thursday at the party’s Campaign Office situated in Mandate Hall, Western Reservoir Road, Adewole, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The PDP gubernatorial flag bearer appreciated the leader of the party, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for yielding to the yearnings of the people in Kwara North to produce the next governor.
He said, “People of Kwara North are very grateful. My people in Kwara north are very happy with my candidature and they are going to vote massively for our party, the PDP.
“This current government has put the foundation of the Kwara in a shaking state. The administration cannot account for all the loans taken. In the history of Kwara State, the debt profile of the state is not as huge as we have witnessed in this present government. The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the state has borrowed over 114 billion naira with nothing to show for it. Every month, over N1bn is used to service loans.
“What it means is that in the next few years, our children will not be able to go to school. All the sectors will be in comatose. It is either we stop this from happening and save the future of our children from being taken away by voting for the PDP or we allow the future of our children to be jeopardized,” Yaman stated.
He, however, expressed optimism that the PDP will trump at the 2023 general elections.
