… as Sanwo-Olu speaks on End SARS protesters
Labour Party Governorship candidate in Lagos state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour today visited and donates N15m to traders who lost their goods in the fire incident that occurred at a spare parts market in Akere Olodi Apapa area of the state earlier in the morning.
The inferno said to have occurred at the Akere spare parts Market in Apapa Lagos at about 03:28 am on Wednesday.
An eyewitness, Adeleye who was at the scene of the inferno said, “Upon arrival, it was discovered that rows of shops that traded in auto spare parts were engulfed in fire that led to Sari-Iganmu and llupeju Fire Crews of the Agency joining up to subdue the raging fire and salvage a nearby major market Petroleum Filling Station with a full loaded 33,000 lites PMS tanker among other adjoining buildings.”
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour however promised to rebuild the market if elected as the governor of Lagos state in the Saturday Gubernatorial and state assemblies elections.
Meanwhile, Mr. Babajide Sanwo- Olu, the governor of Lagos state who is also seeking re-election in the forthcoming governorship election under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), can be seen defending himself regarding the shooting at the scenes of the End SARS protest held in Lekki.
Sanwo Olu while speaking on Arise Tv in an interview on Wednesday said, “I was in my house with some cabinet members when it happened so we didn’t have an idea at all.”
He also mentioned that he has personally reached out to those who claim they were affected by the Lekki tollgate shooting incident.
