The Nigerian Union of Tailors (NUT), Kwara State Chapter, Fate zone, Ilorin, has awarded Comrade Abubakar Issa Al-Fulani with an award of excellence in recognition of his support towards the development of the association.
The colourful ceremony was held at Fate/Basin UBE primary school, yesterday to mark the send forth, and inauguration ceremony of their newly elected executives featuring an award session.
The event was honoured by important dignitaries which include Comr. Issa Alfulani, All Progressives Congress Kwara Central Senatorial Youth Leader; Alhaji Adamson, former APC party chairman Ilorin South local government, Alhaji Isiaka Abdulazeez, President NUT, Kwara State Chapter; Otunba Abdulateef Yahya, and other prominent community development advocates.
Al-Fulani donated the sum of N20,000 to the development of the union and supported the union with an additional N10,000 to purchase the union bus and his friends also supported him with funds in the event.
The award was presented to him by the President, NUT, Kwara State Chapter, who commended the effort of Al-Fulani towards the professional development of the union.
Speaking with ELITE WATCH correspondent after receiving the award, Al-Fulani said he dedicated the award to the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who he described as a developer of men.
In return, The NUT President lauded him for his support and prayed to God to bless him.
“The award you collect will not be the last one, we appreciate your support and NUT is grateful,” he prayed.
