…as he bagged ‘Philanthropic of the Year Award’
The founder of Ishola Olateju Foundation and Oju-Ilu Political Movement, Comrade Olateju Ishola Olohungbebe on Thursday doled out largesse to women across the Kwara South Senatorial District.
The largesse ranging from cash, and food items were packaged for the aged women as Christmas gifts, THE ELITES WATCH reports.
Presenting the gifts and cash to the beneficiaries at his Oju-Ilu Political Movement office along Ajase-Ipo Road in Ilorin, the Director General of the Political Movement, Ahmed Afolabi Saliu advised the beneficiaries of the cash gifts to utilize it judiciously, urging them to spread love to others in their various communities at this festive season.
Saliu, while speaking with THE ELITES WATCH correspondent disclosed that cash amounting to N20,000 were given to 20 beneficiaries, adding that over 100 people benefitted from the Christmas packages (food items).
The Director General of Oju-Ilu Political Movement stressed that all the mothers of the beneficiaries of the Ishola Olateju Foundation Educational and Empowerment Initiative were equally empowered with a cash gift to improve their businesses.
He said, “Like my boss, Olateju Ishola Olohungbebe who is the personal assistant to the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, does say that he is just starting and will continue to be doing good things for his people. Over the years, we have done a lot of programmes in which many had benefitted across the state. We have given scholarships, we had done empowerment programs, we have given free JAMB forms, we have enrolled out-of-school children back to school, we had given employment to scores of beneficiaries and so many other programs too numerous to mention.
“As you can see, We are here today to make our people happy by giving them cash, Christmas gifts and other items to ease the economic hardship on their necks especially the aged women among them who could not do any job. We have equally promised to continue to reach out to them, and we are optimistic that it won’t stop here.
“It is our prayer to God Almighty to continue to bless our principal, Olateju Ishola Olohungbebe so that he can do more for his people.”
Speaking with one of the beneficiaries, Jamiu Fatimoh from Offa in Kwara State, she disclosed that she is among the beneficiaries of the cash gifts by Olateju Ishola Olohungbebe given to the women to improve their businesses.
She prayed that God continues to bless Olateju Ishola, uplift him, and protect him against any form of evil.
One of the political associates of the Oju-Ilu Political Movement from Igbaja ward II, Abolarin Mustapha, who was present at the distribution of the gifts, implored the beneficiaries to put the cash into good use while praying to God to enrich the funder and preserve the organizers of the program so that they can do more of it.
Meanwhile, the Principal of the Oju-Ilu Political Movement, Comrade Olateju Ishola Olohungbebe was awarded by Symbol Magazine as the ‘Philanthropist of the Year’, following his outstanding records and contribution towards the reduction of the unemployment rate in Kwara State.
The award presentation was held at Arca Santa Event Center along Ajase Ipo Road in Ilorin, the state capital.
Olateju was ably represented by his darling wife Alhaja Aminat Olateju and his daughter, Medinat Olateju.
