The former Special Assistant on Political matters for Kwara Central to Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq and one of the aspirants in the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election held to replace the party’s candidate for Magaji Ngeri State Constituency seat in Kwara, Sulaiman Abubakar Sai Kayi has accepted the result of the election, pledging support for the winner- Oba Abdulqadir Magaji.
He described the primary election held to replace the late Hon Olawoyin Magaji as a family affair.
The former Special Assistant to the governor on Political matters for Kwara Central disclosed this in his reaction to the primaries via a social media post on his personal Facebook page.
Sai Kayi wrote, “It’s our party affair and I’m satisfied with the process. I remain Loyal to APC and Governor AA (AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq) is our Leader. One person must win in any contest. Barr Oba Magaji is my brother and I stand with him.”
Recall that Oba Abdulqadir Magaji emerged winner in a keenly contested primary with other three contestants by 17 votes out of 25 votes by the delegates at the primary election held on Saturday at the Art and Culture Centre, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
