The Grand Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the President of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari has returned to Abuja after a week of serious discussions and deliberation at the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States of America.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), President Buhari resumed office, yesterday with an additional task from the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres centered on the restoration of socio-political conditions in many problematic and troubled areas of West African countries.
While speaking at the 76th session of the UNGA, Guteres commended President Buhari for his excellence in leadership roles in Africa and for ensuring the stability of the West African sub-region.
Furthermore, Nigerian President was assured of UN’s un-skipped support to combat occurring issues of, terrorism, security and humanitarian problems in Nigeria.
He also expressed concern about the recent upheavals going on in some areas of the West Africa sub-region and noticed that West Africa is known as as ocean of stability and good governance.
In his compliment, Buhari praised Gutteres for his proficiency in global leadership and the success of the 76th session of UNGA.
