Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, returned to Nigeria on Friday night after he had spent over three months in London, the United Kingdom.
A source at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport mentioned that the ex-Lagos governor arrived at the Lagos airport on Friday night.
Another source close to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also confirmed the arrival of Tinubu.
The official, who craved anonymity, because he is not permitted to speak on the matter, said Sanwo-Olu received Tinubu at the Lagos airport.
Tinubu’s health has been a subject of controversy of late. The two-term Lagos governor was reported to have undergone knee surgery in London.
While in London, At least over 30 politicians had visited the two-term governor of Lagos State in the last three months.
Among such notable top government officials who visited Tinubu in London include the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Governor Umar Ganduje (Kano), Governor Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Governor Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo).
Also, members of the House of Representatives from the northern caucus led by Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, visited the APC chieftain last week and endorsed his candidacy for the 2023 presidency.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other party chieftains in Lagos on Thursday launched South-West Agenda 2023, a political movement mobilising support for Tinubu to contest the 2023 presidential election.
