…pledges support for Tinubu’s presidential bid
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa on Monday led some 2019 gubernatorial aspirants and party stakeholders in the state to the residence of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.
Bolarinwa said the visit was to felicitate with Tinubu on the successful knee surgery he underwent in London.
He reportedly briefed the former Lagos State Governor on the crisis rocking Kwara APC since the inauguration of incumbent Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq.
Recall the lingering crisis that has engulfed the APC in Kwara reportedly reached a crescendo, while the governor’s camp is holding the grip of the party in the state, the minister’s backed bolarinwa-led APC are also not backing down in the fight for the control of the soul of the party.
However, The Kwara APC Chairman and other stakeholders pledged their support for Tinubu’s Presidential bid. They also prayed for the accomplishment of his heart desires in sound health.
Our Correspondent gathered that Tinubu engaged Kwara APC Stakeholders for about three hours on national politics, his political journey, and other critical national issues.
Prof. Shuaib AbdulRaheem Oba, Mallam Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha, Abdulkadir Audu Abubakar, Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, Hakeem Lawal were among the former governorship aspirants present at the meeting.
Other Chieftains in attendance include – Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Hon. Saheed Olalekan Popoola, Chief Sunday Oyebiyi, Elderstatesman Captain Ishola among others.
