The Gubernatorial flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara state, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has sympathized with the Ijagbo community over the passing away of Onijagbo of Ijagbo Kingdom, Oba Salaudeen Fagbemi Adeyeye.
He equally extends his condolences to the Onijagbo-In-Council, the Kwara State Council of Chiefs and the People of Kwara State.
In a condolences message on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Abdulwahab Oba, Yaman described the late monarch as “serving his people with utmost diligence and unassuming dedication”.
According to the PDP gubernatorial hopeful, “Oba Salaudeen was a strong proponent of peace, progress and development in his community and the State, and Kwarans from across political and religious divides will miss the astute leadership and warm disposition of the late Oba.”
Yaman, meanwhile, prayed to God Almighty to forgive him his sins and grant him “Aljanah Firdaus and comfort the people of Ijagbo on the demise of their beloved royal father.”
