Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Constitutional Law Professor, Rt. Hon. Prof. Ali Ahmad has expressed his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, and the immediate family of the 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin Emirate, on the passing of Alhaji AbdulKareem Laaro Buhari Morogo III.
Alhaji Laaro Buhari, who was the 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, died on Friday in Ilorin at the age of 97 and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Professor Ali described the late Alhaji Laaro Buhari as a father figure, consummate, and forthright community leader, whose leadership would be sorely missed.
The former lawmaker also sent his deepest condolences to the immediate family of the late community leader and entire Balogun Gambari community.
In a statement signed by the Spokesperson for the Ali Ahmad Media Office, Steve Makinde, the former lawmaker said, “As we offer prayers for the repose of Baba’s soul, I send my heartfelt condolences to the entire Balogun Gambari community over the passing of this great community leader.
“I pray that Allah (SWT) grants his family the fortitude to bear this huge loss and may he find comfort in Aljannah Firdaus,” the statement reads.
