…as Islamic group awards GSmat, others
Constituents within the Ilorin North West Constituency in Kwara State has described an Ex-Ilorin North West State Constituency Aspirant, Hon Abdulganeey Olushola Alabi popularly known as GSMAT as a credible and most preferred candidate to represent them at the state assembly in the coming election.
Comrade Abolaji Ahmed, Coordinator, Voice of Kwarans, gave this indication at an award ceremony held in Ilorin on Sunday by an Islamic group, Markaz Nurul-Hiddaayat Was-Sahaadat, School of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
The Coordinator, who said democracy can best be meaningful when public office holders demonstrated passion for the well-being of their constituents. He added that Honourable Olushola Alabi who is one of the awardees would be a worthy representative if elected into office.
Abolaji further stressed that “rather than mere sentiments, Kwarans must carefully weigh the past and the current potentials of various candidates responsibly in the 2023 General Elections, to ensure credible candidates emerge at the primaries in order to strengthen the nation’s democracy.”
Hon. Abdulganeey in his response appreciates the leadership of the Voice of Kwarans, and he promised to consult various interest groups within the constituency before taking further action.
He, meanwhile, charged the people of the State, to be committed to the emergence of credible representatives, to further make democracy more meaningful for the people in the state.
According to the Islamic group, The Award Ceremony was an avenue to honour and celebrate notable Nigerians particularly Kwarans “In recognition of the selfless services to their communities, Muslim Ummah, and immense contributions towards the development and progress of Islam.”
