A security expert, philanthropist, and grassroot politician, Alhaji AbdulMumeen Saliu Olaitan popularly called Honorable Lee, has doled out JAMB forms to indigent students in Magaji Ngeri constituency in Ilorin, Kwara State.
It was gathered that Honourable Lee has make it a yearly tradition and culture to always help the less privileged attain success in their education.
According to reports, he has been giving out free JAMB forms to indigent students for quite along time even before he birth his political ambition.
Speaking to newsmen during the presentation of 2022 JAMB forms to the beneficiaries, Olaitan said that the he has took the responsibility upon himself to always help the poor students who have that zeal and potential to further their studies.
According to him, “even before I birth the ambition of running as an Honourable, I have always been helping people. So, giving out these forms do not have any political colouration.
“I believe by helping the younger ones to succeed, it’s like growing a seed. By the time they have all acquired quality education, I am hopeful that their impacts would surely be felt in our society.
“Although, I am a grassroot politician who has been so keen in making sure that development reaches the people at the rural area. I have contributed a lot to many people lives and I don’t see it as any thing but a privilege and grace from God.
“It is through my philanthropical programs that my people have called on me to contest for a political post. They believe I can do more and can be entrusted that’s why I am receiving the massive support I earned from them.
“With this, I have declared my intention to contest in the forthcoming 2023 general elections as a Member of the Kwara House of Assembly representing Ilorin Central under Young Progressives Party, YPP.
“It’s youth o’clock. Our party YPP in Kwara has elected party executives that are capable of running party affairs and ensure victory comes 2023. We are very optimistic that we would win in the election.”
Meanwhile, the leader of Team Audacity of Hope further charged the youth to be a good ambassador of Ilorin Central constituency.
The philanthropist said, the free JAMB forms will have a direct impact on the less privilege, emphasising that the jamb form was given to Magaji Ngeri and Oko- Erin Ward respectively.
The beneficiaries, however, appreciated his kind gesture and promised to utilise the opportunity given to them.
They implored him to continue to help the indigent students and do more developmental strides, praying that Almighty will reward him abundantly.
They also declared their support for him and prayed he wins the seat in the 2023 general elections.
